I don't know why, but somehow I have always felt that there is something more to stairway than meet the eyes. When I created this, I knew why I had had that sort of quizzical feeling.
As a child, I have always been fascinated by stairs and when I saw M.C. Escher's work for the first time, I felt strong sense of Deja vu and I decided to investigate the concept further and found a rather simple way to create purely aesthetic staircase.
I am sure that even M.C. Escher would have loved this type of stairs. He would have put a lot of people going up and down the steps!

Even though the stairs look irregular, they are not.
